About me and how hobby became professional

In this case I would like to tell a little bit about me. Still amidst of this never ending learning process of a self-styled and hard working webmaster in Zug – Switzerland, I set my personal focus to consulting, development and marketing.

In the web world I’m:

Once I was engaged in an online marketing agency focusing in social media marketing and online interaction. Basically we make websites work really really well.

Now I work for a great company and help them do great things. I also help celebrities with their personal social media, 100% confidentially. People expect a lot from well known people, I help them deliver. I don’t only design the sites, I make them work too.

“The guy at the top of the mountain didn’t fall there.” I’m always pushing hard, today is only here once, let’s not waste it.

Technologies and Philosophy

My expertise and interest lies in front-end technologies, including HTML/5, CSS, JavaScript (as well as frameworks like jQuery and YUI). My server side skills revolve around PHP. I enjoy dabbling in mobile development and edge devices and environments. I focus on open source contributing and evangelism, as they open a world of possibilities and rewards for their hard-working developers.

My philosophy on learning to use web technologies is always the same: experiment, fail, fix, fail again, fix again. Reading books will only get you so far — you should spend time with your debugger, experimenting away with whichever technology you need to learn. Always keep an open mind, use tools you wouldn’t usually use, and never give up.

Spare Time

I’ve got some super amazing friends and I’m always out to find something interesting to do, when not burried in my text editor. When I was an adolescent, I broadened my knowledge in piano and harmony. This summer I enjoy the evenings to ride the scooter for beach volley.
